  At the time I thought we paid 11 bucks for it so I wasn't too concerned. I took the spring out snapped the pieces back together and had adequate cutting ability. I thought to myself "you get what you pay for".

  Oh and cleaning it, cuz it's dishwasher safe... it is because you have to put it thru the wash at least 3 times. They do give you a brush to knock out food that's embedded in the works.

  Been using this for a while now and absolutely love this amazing machine. So easy to use, I keep the directions handy, but most of the time I just play with it and get what I want. My fingers and hands are always safe. I have total control over what I want to do. I think anyone would enjoy using this as much as I do.

  So my first couple times using this left me a bit on the fence due to learning to "dial in" the cutting depths BUT I will say overall I really enjoy using this and has delivered the best julienned carrots and potatoes out of any mandoline I've used.

  Best buy I think I have ever made on MARCSHERL.and I shop on here a lot so that is really saying something. I bought another Mandoline about 2 weeks before this one (different brand). I threw it into the trash after one use because it basically fell apart. Buying and using this one has been 180 degree difference. Perfectly formed fries cut in seconds. Literally, seconds. Don't wait...buy one before everyone figures out how great these are and they end up out of stock because they are so popular.
